Kraken Parent Payward and Singapore Gulf Bank Link for Round-the-Clock Settlement
Payward integrates SGB Net for instant institutional settlement across Asia and the Gulf, while Kraken Prime joins as a liquidity source.
Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, has forged a partnership with Singapore Gulf Bank to offer institutional clients uninterrupted, real-time settlement capabilities across Asian and Gulf region markets. The integration centers on SGB Net, Singapore Gulf Bank's proprietary clearing network, which enables transactions to be finalized at any hour without the delays typically associated with traditional banking infrastructure.
The arrangement marks a significant step for institutional digital asset trading, where settlement timing has long been a friction point. By connecting to SGB Net, Payward's institutional clients gain access to round-the-clock clearing that removes dependence on conventional banking windows, a structural limitation that has historically disadvantaged crypto markets relative to the speed of their underlying technology.

As part of the broader agreement, Singapore Gulf Bank will onboard Kraken Prime — Payward's institutional services arm — as an additional source of digital asset liquidity. The move is expected to deepen the liquidity pool available to the bank's institutional counterparties operating across the two fast-growing financial corridors of Asia and the Gulf.
The deal reflects an accelerating trend of regulated financial institutions building direct bridges to crypto-native infrastructure providers in order to serve sophisticated clients demanding institutional-grade execution and settlement. Singapore Gulf Bank, positioned at the intersection of two of the world's most active digital asset adoption regions, stands to benefit from expanded product offerings enabled by the Kraken Prime liquidity relationship.
